New Game: Rust in Peace

Are you a fan of post-apocalyptic movies, TV shows, books, and video games? If you are then you are going to love this article.

This article is all about our latest mobile video game release called Rust In Peace or RIP for short. Despite its not-so-optimistic acronym, we are actually really proud of what the final product ended up being.

Rust in Peace is now available on the app store and it’s under the Role Playing games category. Despite that RIP is not exactly what you would call a classic MMO RPG game. It also falls under the Gacha games genre so if you are into collecting your in-game companions and upgrading them (in this game we call them “partners”) then you are about to have a really good time with RIP.

When it comes to the main story’s theme and the overall aesthetic of the game, all events are placed into this semi-distant future, post-apocalyptic world full of strange people, zombies, monsters, robots, mutants, and communities formed under the, quite often corrupt, fist of the people who were lucky enough not
to pull the short end of the stick. The inspiration for this came from post-apo sci-fi movies and series such as “Mad Max”, “The Walking Dead” and “Blade Runner”. There are also quite a few novels of the same genre in which you can find many similarities with games theme and aesthetic. Philip K Dick’s 1968 novel called “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” (Novel that the original “blade runner” was based on), Emily St.John Mandel’s 2014 “Station Eleven”, Colson Whitehead’s 2011 “Zone One” and many more. The game itself is not by any means a rip off from any of these. Rust in Peace is a unique experience with its unique characters and storyline and the main common theme that it shares with these movies, novels, and TV shows is the idea of a close or distant future post-apocalyptic dystopian world in which everything is possible.

On the other hand, if you are not a huge fan of this type of content, RIP has much more to offer. As mentioned above Rust In Peace is in its core an MMO RPG game. That basically means is that it has a lot of classic RPG elements embedded in the game’s core mechanics which players that play this type of game love and are familiar with. Right from the get-go, you will notice a lot of similarities with some of the biggest names in this genre on both mobile and PC gaming platforms. Some of those are in-game player housing (similar to Garrison in World of Warcraft for example), quest table for your companions, transmogrifying items, unique in-game character titles, mini-games, daily quest, Boss battles, PVP arena, and much, much more. Also, if you ever played any MMO RPG before, then you know that the daily grind is a certain aspect of the game that you must do if you want to be a top-notch player. We know that this is not everyone’s
favorite part of the game so we also added an auto-play button for those players that don’t like this particular gameplay style.

The whole Gacha aspect of the game revolves around the fact that you are not fighting your battles alone but instead you gather a team of companions and together, alongside your main character, you fight your way through quests and all other challenges that this cruel post-apocalyptic world has to offer. Also, there is a lot of different ways to upgrade your Character and your partners. Both your main char and your partners have gear slots, levels, locked attributes acquired by consuming various food and beverages, skill tree (very similar to the skill tree which you can find in a popular PC game called Path of The Exile) and can acquire buffs that last for a certain amount of time which can be very useful in combat. Alongside the fact that your team consists of 4 characters in total and every one of them can play one of the three main roles (damage carry (both melee and ranged), tank, and support), when you add all of mentioned above onto that, the customization possibilities are almost endless.

All in all, we are glad that you decided to join our official discord server and that you became a part of your community. We will try everything that’s in our power to make your experience as enjoyable as possible so don’t hesitate to leave us both positive and negative feedback on the game and feel free to give us a 5-star rating on the app store as well. Let’s RIP until we rip!
