Year of the Tiger

Greetings, Summoners!

The staff of the Lionstale Games wishes you a Happy Lunar New Year!

We wish you and all of your loved ones health and happiness in the new year.

The Chinese New Year is the festival that causes the world’s largest annual migration. Over 2 billion people celebrate it in some way. The festival is also known as the “Spring Festival”. It is the time of the year that marks the end of the coldest part of the winter.

The date of the Chinese New Year is different each year and falls between January 21st and February 20th. The festival lasts for 16 days until the Lantern Festival.

During the evening of the Lantern Festival, on the night of the full moon, families gather for dinner. After dinner, they go out to see the fireworks and light the lanterns.

Red decorations can be seen everywhere during the festival. People will exchange billions of red envelopes. It is the way to send good wishes and luck.

During the Spring Festival, people eat certain foods purely for their symbolic meaning. Dumplings are eaten because they represent wealth, the more you can eat, the more money you will make in the new year, well that’s the belief!

Traditional celebrations of the Chinese New Year are centered around removing the negative, bad, and the old, and welcoming the new and the good. The upcoming update, changes, and events in the Summoners Glory will hopefully bring that good change.

The widely accepted New Year celebration was a month ago. We are trying to keep the Holiday Spirit running with the “Year of the Tiger” event.

The Tiger will offer new tasks, packs, and rewards. He is confident, brave, strong-willed, and stubborn, luckily he will be soothed by the Water element. Do not let that deceive you, approach him carefully!

Join us during the event, let us spread the Holidays Spirit together!

Good luck, Summoners!
